  • Police identify man killed in East Memphis

    By Yolanda Jones of The Commercial Appeal A 29-year-old man has been identified as the person shot and killed last week in East Memphis. Denarious Martin was found on the floor of a home in the 1800 block of South Perkins, just north of Interstate 240 around 4 p.m. on July 8. Martin had been shot multiple times and died on the scene. Officers responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. at the Cabana Apartments in the 2800 block of Kimball Avenue.
